THE
HEALING BEAR MINISTRY
“Love bears all things.” 1 Corinthians 13:7. Children & adults are invited to select a blessed bear for bringing to someone they know who is sick & in need of prayers. Each bear comes with a special reminder of God’s healing & wonderful love. This aspect of Faith Formation offers a very simple & concrete way of putting faith into practice. All will grow in God’s love as they learn to spread His gifts of mercy & compassion. Blessed bears are in a basket in the Altar Servers’ sacristy & a journal is there for recording the person’s name receiving the bear & how our parish family may keep that person in prayer. If you are interested in helping to make or provide bears, please contact Amy Ford, Pat Silva or Clare Shumaker.
LET GO OF WORRY
Go to God in prayer. Then the peace of God will dwell in your heart & mind. Ask God to show you how to follow Jesus. If you think God is calling you to be a priest, contact Fr. Bob Vaillancourt at the Diocesan Office of Vocations: vocations@portlanddiocese.org or 773-6471.
